Vacancy – Contracts Manager (SIS Pitches International)

Requirements:

• Qualifications in Agronomy and/or Civil Engineering.
• Experience in pitch construction, including drainage, irrigation, and machinery operational knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety.
• Experience in construction site management.
• Extensive overseas travel with long periods away from home.
• Desirable: Fluent in Spanish or Portuguese.

Job Description: The position’s main objective is to manage multiple natural pitch installations from inception to completion, including day-to-day operations in liaison with other Contracts Managers, Site Supervisors, and the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, coordinate, and oversee the planning, design, construction, and delivery of high-quality, high-value natural turf sports pitch projects. Provide full project accounts management, ensuring client needs are understood and delivered through professional and safe execution, with clear communication to all stakeholders.
• Project manage all programmes, ensuring each construction project is accurately forecasted, completed on time, and coordinated, with all commercial and operational risks evaluated and controlled. This includes managing contracts and handling contract variations.
• Deliver technical support as needed, including full project design services while optimising benefits, costs, and risk control. Provide advice and guidance on project management and delivery, empowering and inspiring others to achieve successful outcomes.

Experience in sports pitch construction, natural turf installation, or groundsmanship is desirable, but we welcome applications from contract managers with strong construction skills and a positive attitude towards contract management.

You must be highly organised, with experience in logistics, resource planning, and coordination, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, customer-focused service.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and basic IT skills are required, along with the ability to solve problems and think creatively, often under pressure. The ability to anticipate and identify risks is critical, as is a commitment to quality and health and safety.
