Vacancy Synthetic Turf Maintenance & Aftercare Manager (Full Time)

SIS Group is a world leading group of companies in the manufacture of artificial grass and in the design, construction, installation, maintenance, and aftercare of synthetic and natural sports pitches and facilities throughout the UK and overseas.

With a growing number of nationwide UK projects, particularly within the educational and sports sectors, our UK based company – SIS Pitches – is seeking a competent Synthetic Turf Maintenance & Aftercare Manager.

This role will be involved in facilitating all aspects of sports pitch maintenance, aftercare, and client installations; ensuring that work is carried out effectively and efficiently, providing the customer with a constant quality of product and aftercare service. Assisting the Maintenance Director and wider management team in delivering specialised maintenance, aftercare services and installation work, while providing an effective quality service. A key element of this role will also include effectively line managing maintenance supervisors. The work will involve varied locations nationally throughout the UK, working on synthetic football and rugby pitches, cricket pitches, tennis courts, athletics tracks and multi-user games areas.

A full valid driving licence is essential as you will be required to travel nationwide to different projects. A CSCS card is an advantage. Full training will be given, although some prior experience in managing, sports pitch maintenance and / or installation or groundsman-ship would be welcome. The ideal candidate would be able to show they can work hard, be able to lead a team, take pride in their work and show flexibility along with a willingness to learn and adapt.

You must be able to follow instructions and method statements; with a passion and commitment to the delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused service. Excellent planning and communication skills, a friendly outlook, and an ability to find solutions rather than see problems are key to this role. An ability to think for yourself and identify risks is critical, as is a commitment to quality of work and health and safety.
