Hackney Council appointed Support in Sport (SIS) to supply and install a 3G Pitch to Mabley Green.

The standard of service received from appointment through to post completion was superb while communication level was second to none.

The contract was confirmed from the outset with all agreed project deliverables (price,time,quality) achieved within the contract period.

SIS Pitches”site management was knowledgeable, organised and tidy at all times. Quality of installation was delivered to highest standard while both operation and maintenance manuals and training for maintenance staff were delivered promptly.

The hockey pitch and football/rugby pitch resurfacing works at Harrow School went to plan being on time and on budget. We are pleased with the appearance of the finished facilities which met the performance requirements of the specification.

Blackwater GAA carefully chose SIS Pitches’ Hybrid pitch system for our indoor hall area after a process of travelling to many pitches around the country to find the best possible surfacing option for our club.

A number of positives which influenced or decision;

1. SIS Pitches are both the manufacturer and installer of the surface, meaning only one warranty is required for our facility, and all payments are made directly to the supplier which gave us peace of mind as a Club.
2. Both yarns in their dual fibre system meet the GAA standards when tested on their own. This allowed us to get the benefit of the hard-wearing fibrillated grass as well as the monofilament upright grass for ball performance.
3. SIS Plus is the only online portal for club maintenance and assistance.  All warranty requirements can be uploaded by phone or web directly to SIS Pitches, and we are given instant access to the manufacturer and specialist contractor through this one easy-to-use SISPlus Portal.  This helps maintain our warranty with the manufacturer as well, as we are not dealing with third parties.
4. Darren and Mark were very professional to deal with and have a great knowledge of the synthetic turf industry with 30 years’ experience constructing sports pitches

‘Since being stitched with SISGrass, the tee on the par 3 13th at Long Ashton has seen improved surface consistency and stability. Surface damage is reduced through play, extending the usage and improving recovery time with less repair work. The SISGrass fibres blend naturally into the grass sward, improving the appearance of the tee after usage.’

Loughborough University appointed SIS Pitches in June 2015 on a design and build contract for the conversion of the 1st XV rugby pitch to an artificial surface. This comprised the conversion of its 1stXV rugby pitch to a 3G SISTurf Rugger 65mm grass pitch with a 20mm insitu shockpad, both installed by and manufactured by SIS Pitches.

The SIS Pitches team, led by Jon Turnbull provided an excellent service both in terms of the quality of the finished product and the contract service offered. The project was completed on time despite challenging timeframes with a proactive, customer focused and non-contractual approach.

After the stitching of SISGrass on the pitch in Oct 2016, we played our first game on the surface a month after. When we make a comparison between our old stadium pitch at Avni Aker Stadium and our new one at Medical Park Stadium, the improvements are easy to observe.

The new pitch playing surface is durable, with better root establishment underneath leading to lesser wear and tear during games.   

There have been no injuries to any player that has played on the pitch. We are fully satisfied what SIS Pitches made with SISGrass and the regular maintenance of the pitch so far.

Additionally, with installing a SISAir system, we are confident to say that the system is able to provide a cool, fresh breeze underneath. This in turn leads to a comfortable rootzone underneath the surface and a higher-quality surface for the players.

We also have full trust in the vacuum mode of the system and we believe this will help tremendously to keep the surface water-free. This is important as we can get heavy rain fall during a game due to our location in the Blacksea Region here in Turkey! 

With having the latest technology of SISGrass and SISAir, we believe the severe summer stress will not be an issue for us anymore, which it had been for many years with high humidity and hot weather conditions in our area.

We now have an exemplary pitch, which we think it should encourage to other clubs and facilities in Turkey. 

Our project, to add four new synthetic pitches and a 3 bay cricket training area, was the largest investment into sports facilities at the University of Manchester for nearly 10 years. SIS Pitches provided a very competitive and high quality bid and were awarded the contract. During a complication construction period, not helped by the typically wet Manchester weather, SIS Pitches maintained good communications with staff on site, and management through regular progress meetings. Standards were never compromised and little details such as providing purple nets and University logo’d mats really made a difference to the final presentation. With SIS Pitches, we achieved everything we set out to and are the proud owners of an excellent facility that will add massively to the student experience and provide a world class environment for them and the local community well into the future.
