Management Accountant (Maryport, UK)

The Role

As a Management Accountant, you will play a key role in preparing monthly management accounts, reconciling financial statements, and analysing cost variances to provide key financial insights.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong financial analysis skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams including the Managing Director and wider Manufacturing Management Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and reconcile monthly management accounts.
• Analyse cost variances and expenditure, providing key financial insights.
• Oversee payroll processing, credit control, and cash flow forecasting.
• Ensure VAT, PAYE submissions, and compliance with financial regulations.
• Assist in budget preparation and year-end audits.
