Çaykur Rizespor are a soccer team that are in the top flight of Turkish soccer, the Super Lig, and are an existing valued client of our Eastern European team.

The Background

The Çaykur Didi Stadyumu field required a complete reconstruction at the end of the 23/24 season in preparation for the 24/25 season. With this short turnaround, it was important to have a single contractor that could manage every aspect of the project to ensure all deadlines were met, from construction to hybrid installation.

The Brief

SIS Pitches were briefed to deliver a technologically advanced surface, that is built for both performance and durability at the highest level. This meant we needed to implement.

Advanced Subsurface Technology

• SIS Air: This is our subsurface aeration technology. It ensures optimal root zone conditions, promoting healthier grass growth and improved field resilience.
• SIS Heat: Our undersoil field heating system. It helps maintain consistent ground temperature, enabling year-round field performance and reducing weather-related disruptions.
• SIS Sense: Real-time monitoring of subsurface conditions and temperature and humidity levels, allowing for proactive field management.

Surface Innovation

• SIS Aqua: Precision irrigation technology ensuring optimal water distribution and plant health.
• SIS Grass Natural: Natural turf installed straight from our turf farm in Izmir.
• SIS Grass Hybrid: Hybrid grass technology that significantly improves durability and playing surface consistency. Typically, a hybrid field can achieve up to three times the amount of play of a natural grass field.

Maintenance

The project also includes ongoing SIS Plus Maintenance, our field maintenance team designed to maintain the highest standards of field quality throughout the season. They ensure the surface is match-ready.
