River Plate aimed to improve the quality and durability of their field to meet FIFA and CONMEBOL standards. They wanted to ensure it could handle the demands of international tournaments while providing players with a world-class playing surface.

Completely reconstruct the field to improve durability and playability.
Incorporate advanced systems to combat the challenging climatic conditions in Argentina.

What We Did – Field Reconstruction

SIS Pitches carried out a complete field reconstruction, integrating all of our field management systems to create an advanced, durable surface that meets international standards. Key features include:

SIS Pitches installed Bermuda Celebration grass using the “row planting” technique. Stolons were carefully harvested and planted, achieving full coverage within weeks.

Ready for play within an expedited timeline, with the first match on February 20, 2021.
