SIS Pitches showcase two new breathtaking golf greens

Working with US-based Celebrity Greens, delivering golf surfaces for Slieve Donard Marine & Lawn Hotels & Resorts and Dornoch Station Hotel.

THE BACKGROUND

Royal Dornoch in Scotland and Slieve Donard in Northern Ireland are iconic golf destinations renowned for their history and natural beauty. These locations aimed to enhance their facilities with professional-grade synthetic putting greens to complement their world-class golf courses.

THE BRIEF

The goal was to install custom synthetic golf greens at:

• The Slieve Donard Hotel and Resort, near Royal County Down Golf Club.
• The Dornoch Station Hotel, near Royal Dornoch Golf Club. The greens needed to offer a professional practice experience, maintaining the challenge and quality expected at such esteemed locations.

• Constructed and installed a 6,500-square-foot professional-level green within the hotel grounds.
• Focused on delivering a similarly challenging practice environment with meticulously crafted contours.
• Created a complementary experience for visitors to the nearby Royal Dornoch Golf Club, blending seamlessly with the scenic surroundings.

• Designed and installed a 7,000-square-foot professional-grade synthetic putting green.
• Sculpted intricate contours to provide golfers with a challenging and rewarding practice experience.
• Enhanced the resort’s reputation as a premier golfing destination with this addition overlooking the Irish Sea.
