What We Did

Hockey Water-Based Pitch

This elite-level pitch, installed in summer 2019, is the first of its kind in the UK. Designed to encourage speed of play, the SIS Grass Synthetic Xcel Ultra surface combines high-grade polyethylene polymer and texturised yarn.
Offers exceptional ball speed, uniformity, and durability.
Manufactured in the UK at SIS Pitches’ industry-leading facility in Cumbria.
Highly rated by players, with 75% stating it exceeded other pitches they’ve played on.

Designed, constructed, and installed to FIFA Quality standards, the SIS Grass Synthetic Xtreme Ultra pitch adds to Loughborough’s extensive football facilities. Manufactured in the UK with innovative PU backing, this surface is:

Football SIS Grass Hybrid Pitch

At Loughborough University Stadium, SIS Pitches installed SIS Grass Hybrid technology, blending 95% natural grass with 5% synthetic fibres. This is the same system used at the 2018 World Cup.

Provides consistency and durability for year-round use.
Suitable for high-intensity training sessions and matches.
Up to three times more play than a natural grass pitch.

Converted from natural grass in 2015, the rugby pitch uses the SIS Grass Synthetic Rugger product. With a fibre-reinforced yarn, it offers:
