Dean Gilasbey Joins SIS Pitches as Director of Field Services to aid international Growth

With over 35 years in the industry and experience across 78 countries at some of the world’s leading sporting competitions, Dean brings a wealth of global expertise to SIS Pitches

My main focus will be on driving international sales growth across key regions such as Africa, India, Central Europe, and Asia. I’ll be working closely with our Sales Directors to uncover new opportunities, provide technical consultancy, support pre-sales efforts, and oversee field operations to ensure all installations meet SIS’s benchmark standards for quality and safety.

Can you tell us a bit more about your background?

I tend to be modest about it, but my career has taken me to 78 countries. I’ve managed 25 opening ceremonies and contributed to major tournaments including six UEFA Champions League Finals, the FIFA Club World Cup, AFC and AFCON tournaments, CHAN, and the ISL in India.

What drives you professionally?

Training and mentoring have always been a passion of mine. It’s incredibly rewarding to see others grow and succeed, many SIS team members have been trainees or colleagues in the past, and I’m looking forward to reconnecting. I thrive in complex, challenging environments, and I take real pride in helping others deliver their best.

Who will you be working alongside?

I’m especially looking forward to working with Carlos Reis. We go back 15 years, our first collaboration was in Azerbaijan, and I’ve always admired his deep expertise. Even with 35 years in this industry myself, I’m still eager to learn from him.

What else are you excited to bring to the role?

I’ll be developing training programmes for our field teams and strengthening client relationships worldwide. I’m also ready for plenty of international travel, coordinating with internal teams and external partners across the globe.
