Synthetic Surfaces

Natural Grass Pitch Installation

SIS Pitches have been installing natural grass for over 20 years across professional and grassroots sports.

Installation can take two days to turf a natural grass pitch, which can be used almost immediately. Like any pitch installation, we start by levelling the surface of the area and ensuring that the drainage and irrigation solutions are in place.

The quality of the turf is most important to us, which is why we have several turf farms worldwide, plus access to trusted, high-quality grass partners.

Natural Surfaces

Hybrid Grass Installation

Hybrid grass combines 95% natural grass with 5% synthetic fibres stitched into the surface. This provides durability and stability on the surface, allowing up to three times more play than a natural grass pitch.

Stitching depths: We can stitch to different depths for a bespoke installation. We can stitch at 45mm, 90mm, 135mm and the standard 180mm.
Speed: We can stitch a full-size football pitch in as little as 5 days.

SIS Grass Hybrid is installed at schools, universities and stadiums, both grassroots and professional.

Hybrid Surfaces

A DEDICATED TEAM FROM START TO FINISH

One of our supervisors will be on your site and will work with you to implement any necessary repairs, extensions or improvements. Our installation team will oversee the whole process and ensure that the resurfacing work matches the quality of our pitch construction.

The old surface will be disposed of responsibly, with proper regard for the environment, and will often be reused or recycled.

Above all, the site supervisor and our whole team will work with you to minimise the disruption to your club or organisation during the resurfacing work.

Why resurface your sports pitch?

Over time it’s natural for your pitch to experience some wear and tear – not only can this be a safety hazard potentially causing people to trip but it can also affect performance.

How long does it take to resurface a sports pitch?

It completely depends on the size and type of pitch you are resurfacing. Here at SIS Pitches, we can re-turf a natural grass pitch in just 48 hours and a synthetic turf field in only three weeks.

How much does it cost to resurface a sports pitch?

How often does my sports pitch need resurfacing?

There is no exact length of time for when a pitch should be resurfaced,as each pitch is unique. There are several factors that will affect the quality of a sport pitch that will determine when it needs to be resurfaced, for example, the levels of usage, the type of sport being played, the type of pitch, maintenance and upkeep of the pitch and local environmental conditions.

Generally, good quality synthetic turf should last for 8 years. Assuming around 40 hours of play a week, with correct usage and maintenance, an artificial pitch should continue to meet the appropriate standards for the next 8 years.
