Vacancy – General Foreman, SIS Pitches (UK)

This role is your opportunity to join the SIS Pitches team and be involved in supporting all aspects of the planning, construction and delivery of the highest quality artificial surface sports pitches. The work will involve varied locations throughout the UK.

We welcome applications from experienced general foremen with the right construction skill levels and a positive attitude towards running a safe and efficient site. Experience in sports pitch construction, artificial surface installation or groundsmanship is preferable. However, training shall be given by our experienced team in the relevant industry processes.

This role will see you being the face of SIS Pitches out on site, as well as in the office liaising with the wider SIS Pitches team. It will be your responsibility to be hands on to ensure a safe, clean and organised site is maintained throughout the project. You will also be required in the office to carry out tasks such as order placement, updating the site file, carrying out site inductions and planning ahead to deliver the project on time with zero defects.

You must be highly organised with sound experience in logistics, resource planning and co-ordination; with a passion and commitment to the delivery of a high-quality customer-focussed service. Excellent communication, interpersonal and some basic IT skills are required with an ability to solve problems, think creatively, often under pressure. An ability to think ahead and identify risks is critical, as is a commitment to quality and health and safety. The ideal candidate must be willing to be hands on and happy to operate machinery.
