At SIS Pitches we see addressing our business’s climate impacts as essential for maintaining our license to operate.
This policy applies to all manufacturing, warehousing, and office sites within the SIS Pitches Group. It addresses our direct emissions (Scope 1) and indirect emissions from imported energy consumed onsite (Scope 2). We are committed to understanding the carbon embedded in our products and services (Scope 3) by end of 2025.
• Achieve carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2025. • Reduce CO2e emissions by 50% by 2030 against our 2024 baseline, aligning with the UK’s 2035 and 2050 NetZero targets and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 13 – Climate Action. • By 2028, ensure all power is supplied from sustainable energy sources, markets permitting. We will transition away from carbon-intensive fuels like LPG and diesel. Once our teams have done all they can in a given year and where renewable energy cannot be sourced, we will seek certified carbon offsetting opportunities. • We will Increase transparency in our carbon reporting and will start reporting “The Energy We Useˮ and “The Energy Saved For Our Customers.” and when practical,” “The Energy Embedded in Our Products,” • Transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources. • Actively reduce reliance on potable water supplies, enhance rainwater harvesting, and increase water recycling potential across our operations, products and services.
We will develop programmes to: • Seek innovative solutions to decarbonise our processes and optimise our energy and water efficiency for both our customers and ourselves. • Ensure our products and services exceed our customers drive towards a low carbon future. • Invest in energy efficiency measures, including on site generation and storage, and LED lighting solutions, electric vehicles, and charging infrastructure. • To support water-saving technologies such as low-flow fixtures, rainwater harvesting, and greywater recycling systems, especially in water stressed areas, where we are maintaining sports fields for our customers and at our own turf farms. • Realise the benefits of advanced air and water flow systems that adjust based on the demands of both the pitch and climate condition to extend play, reducing energy consumption. • Replace older equipment with more energy-efficient solutions, realising the value from innovations in energy management, including the “Internet of Thingsˮ base technologies. • Remove the need for, or optimize air compression, space heating, and cooling systems at all our facilities. • Develop Efficient Scheduling, to Optimise the scheduling of maintenance to ensure minimal energy and water wastage. • Conduct Energy Audits identify inefficiencies and areas for continuous improvement.
We commit to maintaining open, constructive dialogue with stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, investors and communities. This approach ensures we adapt to changing needs and expectations, reflecting our strategic goals. As global and regional climate strategies evolve, we will provide training and support to our teams and customers to promote transparency and shared understanding and commitment, we will innovate new solutions and drive more sustainable, carbon efficient solutions designed to exceed our stakeholdersʼ expectations.
