SIS Pitches has grown considerably in recent years. We’ve developed new technologies, pioneered surface research and expanded our customer portfolio to become a truly global business that works with some of the biggest names in sport.
Growth has sharpened our focus but it’s also given us cause to reevaluate what we do and why we do it. This led us to a new mission: Powering More Play at every level of competition, no matter where we are in the world.
This statement is what underpins our new brand – from the way we onboard colleagues to how we install pitches across the world. It also reflects how our business has grown in recent years, to the point now where we now offer the broadest range of products and services in our industry.
You’ll continue to see a lot of updates over the next few months, so we wanted to explain those changes and what they mean for you in a bit more detail.
What is ‘Powering More Play’?
At grassroots level, Powering More Play represents first-class sports surfaces that allow for more game time, opening up access in communities where sport makes a real difference to people’s quality of life.
At elite level, it’s all about providing the very best conditions for both training and competition, delivering a higher, more resilient standard of play where even small improvements can offer a huge advantage.
We also recognise that sport provides escapism for everyone, from small community teams to the world’s most famous Olympians. As such, Powering More Play is not just about participation, it’s also about how the right facilities can improve mental health, divert people from anti-social environments, and promote better fitness, confidence and focus for life.
What Drives Us?
What do we mean when we say ‘dare to be different’? This is our commitment to innovation and sustainability, and how we continue to push at the boundaries of what’s possible from a sports surface partner.
Our products are made from the best raw materials, and we are always searching for the next game-changing technology and likeminded development partners. And the links we have with globally renowned academic institutions and sporting bodies mean our work is always backed by the right research and analysis. This approach will continue to feature prominently in our new brand.
To stay ahead of the field, we know we must behave responsibly which is why sustainable working practices are hard-wired into how SIS Pitches operates. Our B-Corp certification took a total of two years to obtain and involved over 300 B-impact questions on five key areas of the business:
- Workers
- Governance
- Environment
- Customers
- Community
In short, we are committed to promoting fair labour practices, diversity, equality, and inclusion within our teams. Teamwork is at the heart of what we do, and it goes beyond the sports field.
The new SIS Pitches logo is called the Layergram. It comprises five key elements that define our company and how it operates:
- The top green element of the logo represents the products we deliver. Our high-quality surfaces across the sporting landscape, around the world
- The second layer represents our services and the end-to-end sports projects we can provide, from construction to ongoing maintenance
- On the third level, we have our systems that showcases our range of advanced systems to support optimal growing conditions and efficient ground management
- In the fourth layer, innovation and sustainability feature. This represents is our drive to pursue the possible, no matter how great the challenge
- And on the fifth layer, our colleagues are represented, because our team are the bottom line
Everything Under One Name
Our new brand unifies us under one vision and one operating model. While our operations may be widely spread and have a feeling of independence, we are not a group of businesses – we are SIS Pitches wherever we are in the world.
The SIS Pitches family comprises:
- Surfaces (SIS Grass, SIS Track, SIS Court, and SIS Ice)
- Services including SIS Plus Maintenance
- Systems (SIS Air, SIS Hydrobox, SIS Sense, SIS Aqua, SIS Heat, and SIS Fan)
And we also look the part in purple! The colour unites us and is an impactful reminder of our purpose.
When people see us, they instantly know who we are. Purple is what we’re known for and we are staying true to our roots.
Our palette portrays inclusion, belonging and equality throughout the business, which is why it features across our teamwear, logo and branding.
