SIS Pitches install the category one, ‘Mark Noble Arena’ pitch at Chadwell Heath – West Ham United’s training centre.
The refurbishment and upgrade of the existing pitch at West Ham United’s training grounds was completed fully in-house by the SIS Pitches team. Works included the uplifting and recycling of the existing carpet, the installation of a new shockpad and SISTurf Xtreme 40 turf. Further enhancements of the facilities included the installation of brand-new fencing and the advancement of the existing lighting system to LED floodlights.
The FIFA Quality Pro carpet was designed and manufactured in the SIS Pitches factory under client specification, with tailored multipurpose line markings for training purpose such as, 5v5, 9v9 and 11v 11 games. The pitch was infilled using premium SISGrade which meets the highest of REACH standards. This world class facility allows the academy players of all ages to train on a professional surface, tested to FIFA playing and safety standards, all year round.
“The new development pitch is another magnificent step forward for the Academy – an enhancement that will provide such a superb facility for our young players.”
Ricky Martin, Academy Manager
Naming the pitch after West Ham’s captain, Mark Noble, in honour of his recent retirement makes this pitch even more special to the club. Impressive artwork surrounds the pitch as tribute to his remarkable 18-year career, especially having gone through the academy himself. Mark Noble alluded that the standard of these facilities will make the environment of the academy even more special.
