SIS Pitches has completed another project at one of the country’s top independent schools, Hampton School.

With sporting prowess and extra-curricular achievements at the forefront of Hampton’s priorities, it is essential they have durable and high-quality sports surfaces for students to enjoy for many years to come.

The project comprised of a resurface on their existing 3G pitch facility and the creation of 5 new sand dressed synthetic tennis courts. The maintenance will be managed for the next year by our in-house maintenance team, SISPlus.

3G Pitch Resurface
The first stage of the project was to revitalise the 3G pitch. A new drainage system, tarmacadam layer and vita pad were installed to set the foundations for new 3G turf. The full size pitch was upgraded with SISTurf Xtreme Ultra 60mm, our top of the range mono-filament surface, complemented with premium SISGrade EPDM rubber infill to ensure a perfect playing surface.

5 new tennis courts

In conjunction with the 3G surface install, work went ahead to transform Hampton’s tennis facilities. Initial works included the removal of existing shock pad as well as base works and new gate locations and fencing. Once complete, the tennis courts were treated to the finest SISTurf Pro Club Advantage 13mm sand dressed synthetic turf system and new posts and nets throughout.

Performance testing concluded the project to ensure the best possible playing surface. The tennis courts were tested to LTA standards, and the 3G to FIFA Quality and World Rugby performance standards. Both of which passing with flying colours.

We really enjoyed working on this project with Hampton School. The facilities look great and we hope the school enjoy using them for years to come.
