The finest pitch in the capital
Rosslyn Park proudly describes themselves as south-west London’s premier rugby club. Now, the National League 1 side can boast that they also have the finest pitch in the capital, after unveiling their stunning new 3G surface installed by SIS Pitches. They are the third Rugby Union team to convert to artificial grass fitted by SIS Pitches, following Newcastle Falcons in 2014 and Saracens in 2013 who both play in the Aviva Premiership league.
World’s biggest schools rugby tournament
The natural turf pitch at Rosslyn Park’s stadium was replaced with SIS Pitches’ premium product, Rugger 65, which is also used by the two Premiership teams. It is specifically designed for staging rugby games, with proven durability even after the most intensive use. A quality which will be particularly useful during the Rosslyn Park National Schools Sevens – the biggest school rugby tournament in the world.
The Rugger 65 product is manufactured by SIS Pitches in our Cumbrian factory and has been tested to meet World Rugby Standards.
SIS Pitches recommended by Saracens
The team at Rosslyn Park are delighted with the new pitch, with Shaun Justice, Managing Director of Rosslyn Park FC saying:
SIS were very highly recommended to us in particular by our friends at Saracens. We are absolutely delighted with our new pitch, it is an amazing facility and the amount and quality of rugby that is now being played on our 1 pitch main site is fantastic!
We could not be happier with our decision to install an artificial pitch facility and, as importantly, our decision to work with SIS. We would highly recommend SIS to anyone looking to make the conversion from grass to 3G. Extremely professional from start to finish and a pleasure to work with.
