The UNIVERSITY OF WARWICK GETS NEW WORLD-CLASS synthetic PITCH

The University of Warwick is a leading educational institution, known for its commitment to excellence in facilities and student experiences.

The Background

The University sought to develop a world-class synthetic pitch to enhance its sports offerings for students and the wider community. The project required compliance with FIFA Quality and World Rugby Standards and robust supporting infrastructure.

The Brief

The University needed a durable, high-quality 3G synthetic pitch suitable for football and rugby. The brief also included the installation of fencing and floodlighting to create a fully functional, year-round facility.

What We Did

SIS Pitches completed the project by:

  • Constructing a 3G synthetic pitch with a 20mm insitu shockpad.
  • Installing a 4.5m twinbar fencing system for durability and safety.
  • Adding an 8-column floodlighting system to ensure extended usability.
  • An aerial shot captured the impressive final result, showcasing the high standards achieved.

THE OUTCOME

“We were extremely pleased with the excellent manner in which the team at SIS Pitches completed the construction of our new Rugby and Football 3g pitch. During the process, we were impressed with their open and knowledgeable communication, which gave us assurances that the highest standards were being met. The team working on-site were able to offer quick and informed solutions to logistic issues, ensuring that the project was completed successfully. Our students and the wider community are thoroughly enjoying playing on a world-class surface.”
