In January 2020, the SIS Pitches team was tasked by HSD Cork to help them transform Crosshaven AFC’s lower playing surface at their Camden Grounds. Initially, the surface was a natural grass pitch; however, Crosshaven opted for a 6,784 m2 all-weather playing surface. The SISTurf Hybrid 60mm was the turf of choice, which was laid onto a high-performance Revosport shockpad, all of which is FIFA quality.
The switch from natural grass to artificial grass has been a huge success, it requires less maintenance, is more reliable, and ultimately can get more hours of play from the pitch than before.
The world-class playing surface has significantly increased the club’s offering and provides a perfect playing surface for their 350 members.
