This year marks a major milestone for SIS Pitches as we celebrate 25 years of building sports surfaces that help people play, perform and progress, at every level of the game.
Our story began with roots in Amsterdam and Cumbria, driven by a belief that better surfaces create better sporting experiences. That idea has shaped everything we’ve done since. Today, SIS Pitches operates across the world, delivering sports surfaces for community clubs, schools, universities, local authorities and professional teams. Wherever sport is played, our focus remains the same: helping people get more out of their facilities, and helping sport thrive.
Over the years, the needs of sport have changed. Facilities are busier, schedules are tighter, and expectations are higher than ever. That’s why we’ve always focused on innovation, not for the sake of it, but because it directly impacts our customers. A surface that lasts longer, performs more consistently, and stands up to higher usage doesn’t just look good on day one. It keeps clubs open for more sessions, supports development pathways, and gives communities the chance to play more often.

Our manufacturing roots remain firmly in Cumbria, where decades of expertise meet modern production and ongoing development. It’s here that many of our systems are refined, tested and improved, ensuring the surfaces we deliver meet the demands of modern sport.
Over 25 years, our work has reached every corner of the sporting landscape. At grassroots level, we’ve helped create durable, reliable pitches that can take more hours of play and support greater participation. At the elite end, our systems have been trusted on the biggest stages, including major international tournaments such as the FIFA World Cup, where performance, quality and consistency are non-negotiable.
