Why Choose SIS Pitches for your Artificial Grass Rugby Pitch
All of our artificial grass rugby pitch installation projects are managed by a permanent site supervisor, providing unparalleled support from start to finish.
We always aim for zero defects by testing at key construction stages and on completion, to governing body standards. We provide solutions to problems before you know there is a problem.
As we manufacture and install our own rugby pitches we deliver a complete performance guarantee.
Synthetic Rugby Pitches, The Choice of Champions
Our SISTurf artificial rugby pitch at Allianz Park in North London has played its part in Saracens achieving the status of double champions. The pitch also plays host to American Football NFL teams, who use it for training ahead of matches at Wembley, and local rugby clubs and schools, making it a real asset both to the club and community.
We’ve also supplied 3G rugby pitches to many of the best-known institutions in university sport including Loughborough University and Durham University, whose teams regularly top the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) tables across a range of sports.

The Difference Between Hybrid Pitches and Synthetic Rugby Pitches
Hybrid natural turf pitches are particularly good for rugby as the surface supports scrums better than natural turf with the fibres preventing dividing and localised wear. The pitch is also firmer allowing a faster game of rugby.
On the other hand, synthetic turf allows for much more frequent use whilst providing a fast and stable surface for players of all abilities.
Artificial Rugby Pitch Construction
We manufacture and install our own pitch systems for rugby clubs.
As well as Saracens, our Rugby Union clients include:
- Newcastle Falcons
- Rosslyn Park
- Loughborough University
- Durham University.
We also installed Rugby League pitches at Leigh Sports Village, and are working within the Framework on several more rugby league pitch projects.
Artificial Rugby Pitch Installation
At SIS Pitches, we are a World Rugby Preferred Turf Producer, we install superb rugby pitch systems for rugby union and rugby league clubs.
Artificial Pitch Maintenance
Without a doubt one of the most important operations carried out on an artificial rugby pitch will be the regular, routine maintenance. These processes contribute to the increase in longevity and performance of the pitch.
Once every 12 months it must be deep-cleaned out to allow the removal of dust, debris and any broken-down fibres that have ended up in the rubber infill. To find out more about synthetic grass maintenance please visit our synthetic grass guide.
