Site Operative

SIS Group is a world leading group of companies in the manufacture of artificial grass and in the design, construction, installation and maintenance of synthetic and natural sports pitches throughout the UK and overseas.

With an expanding portfolio of UK, European and overseas clients, particularly within the educational and sports sectors, SIS is seeking competent Site Operatives.

This role will be involved in supporting all aspects of the preparation, construction, installation and delivery of the highest quality artificial surface sports pitches and sports surfaces.  The work will involve varied locations regionally throughout the UK, working on football and rugby pitches, cricket pitches, tennis courts and multi-user games areas.

CSCS and plant tickets are an advantage.  Full training will be given although some experience in sports pitch construction, artificial surface installation or groundsmanship would be welcome.  However, what is more important is that candidates show they can work hard, be a team-player, take pride in their work and show flexibility along with a willingness to learn and adapt.   You should enjoy working outdoors and be willing to support the business during peak summer months.  You need to be prepared to work away from home during the week.

You must be able to follow instructions and method statements; with a passion and commitment to the delivery of a high-quality customer-focussed service.  Good communication skills, a friendly outlook and an ability to find solutions rather than see problems are key to this role.  An ability to think for yourself and identify risks is critical, as is a commitment to quality and health and safety.
