The Background

River Plate looked to develop the quality and durability of their pitch to meet FIFA and CONMEBOL standards. They wanted to ensure it could handle the demands of international tournaments while providing players with a world-class playing surface.

  • Completely reconstruct the pitch to improve durability and playability.
  • Incorporate advanced systems to combat the challenging climatic conditions in Argentina.

What We Did – Pitch Reconstruction

SIS Pitches carried out a complete pitch reconstruction, integrating all of our pitch management systems to create an advanced, durable surface that meets international standards.

SIS Pitches installed Bermuda celebration grass using the “row planting” technique. Stolons were carefully harvested and planted, achieving full coverage within weeks.
