New SISTurf pitch installation to meet FIFA Quality Pro standards at Court Place Farm, Oxford City F.C

A lot of planning and hard work has gone into this project over a long period of time which has now come to fruition, creating one of the best football facilities in the home counties.

We worked very closely with SIS Pitches to ensure that a 1st class facility was created in a tight deadline, enabling us to be fully ready for the 2017/18 season in the Vanarama National League South.

With over 40 teams using the extensive facilities here we hope that all sides benefit from the playing surface and have a successful season.

SIS Pitches demonstrated an excellent understanding of our requirements and their team were very accommodating with the existing facilities that needed to stay open on the site. With 100 apprentices and a busy thoroughfare of users SIS Pitches and Matthew Hodgson the Site Manager in particular worked really closely with us to ensure a safe and well managed environment.

We are very pleased by choosing to cooperate with SISGrass in order to establish the hybrid system. Firstly because we improved and upgraded the pitch in our stadium ‘Georgios Karaiskakis’. Secondly because of their professionalism they managed to perform in difficult circumstances and to accomplish the works. We are proud to have this playing surface, the first in Greece and would be please to recommend to other clubs.

With SISGRASS, SIS Pitches has not only matched the competition I believe they have bettered it. The accuracy of the stitching was amazing and was also cleaner and neater. Not having to worry about major oil leaks was also a huge comfort. Being electric is a huge step forward. The time on site was also greatly reduced, the whole pitch being done extremely quickly with just one machine. Its playability is excellent and all in all SISGRASS is a massive step forward, one which will benefit many clubs and training grounds in the months and years ahead.

SIS Pitches were very highly recommended to us by in particular our friends at Saracens. It was a major project for Rosslyn Park, the biggest capital outlay for many a moon and we wanted to work with the best. We are absolutely delighted with our new pitch, it is an amazing facility and the amount and quality of rugby that is now being played on our 1 pitch main site is fantastic! We could not be happier with our decision to install an artificial pitch facility and, as importantly, our decision to work with SIS Pitches. We would highly recommend SIS Pitches to anyone looking to make the conversion from grass to 4G. Extremely professional from start to finish and a pleasure to work with.

We had six weeks to grow the pitch from seed, and in this time we also had to carry out the stitching. The pitch was completed in five days with two machines- which is remarkable. The machines have many features which help to reduce the stress on the plant during the stitching which is a huge bonus with the renovation windows getting shorter every season.

We have been able to host additional usage on the stadium pitch and also improve on pitch quality. The players, coaches and staff have all noticed the difference both here and Pride Park Stadium and at our training centre, where we have installed four.

Whilst our priority is to provide the best possible playing surface for our home Aviva Premiership Rugby and European fixtures (which the SISTurf surface allows us to do),  Saracens has also always been known for its community focus. Having the SISTurf pitch helps us provide users, young and old, from our community, access to the facility and surface for their training and fixtures. The aim is to embrace the community and encourage a sense of affiliation to Saracens, something the SISTurf pitch is a huge part of.

After consultation with world leaders in design and construction of hybrid pitches, the Malta FA awarded the contract to SIS Pitches who are well known for this type of technology.  The works comprised of the removal of pitch profile to drainage level, the supply and installation of a new drainage system including a gravel layer, an irrigation system followed by sand and root zone layer as well as installation of SISGrass and grow-in maintenance.  The standard of service received from appointment through to completion was to a high professional standard.  The quality of construction was delivered to the highest standards with the project being delivered on schedule, within the agreed budget and to the satisfaction of players.
